Why us

Planning a wedding at home is hard enough

Doing it from another country, in another language, with suppliers you have never met, is a different sport altogether. That is the part we take off your hands.

Ann Lo Events is a small team based in Elche, twenty minutes from Alicante airport. We have organised more than 250 weddings along this coast since 2015, and a good number of them for couples who flew in a few days before their own wedding.

We speak English with you and Spanish with everyone else: the venue, the caterer, the florist, the town hall. You get one contact, one clear budget and no surprises on the invoice.

From a couple who did exactly this
«Ana, Silvia and their team did an incredible job organising our wedding in Spain while we were in Canada. They were communicative, organised and always willing to help. On the day they were there with their team, on top of every detail.»

How it works

From the first call to the last dance

You will not need to fly over for every decision. Two trips are usually enough — and some couples manage with one.

01

We talk

A video call to understand the wedding you have in mind, how many guests are coming and what you want to spend. Free, and with no strings attached.

02

We shortlist

We visit venues for you and send back honest notes, photos and real prices — including what each place does not include.

03

We book and plan

Suppliers, contracts, tastings, paperwork, guest accommodation and transfers. You approve; we chase.

04

We run the day

We are there from the first delivery in the morning until the music stops. Your only job is to enjoy it.

The legal bit

Symbolic, civil or religious

This is the question we get first, so here is the honest answer.

Symbolic ceremony. What most international couples choose. You sign the legal papers at home, and here you have the ceremony you actually want: any venue, any officiant, any format, no bureaucracy. This is the simplest route by far.

Civil ceremony in Spain. Possible, but it takes months of paperwork and at least one of you normally needs residency. We will tell you straight whether your case is realistic before you get your hopes up.

Religious ceremony. We work with churches across the province and we handle the coordination with the parish.

Whichever you pick, we manage the timings, the officiant, the readings and the rehearsal.

Where

The Mediterranean coast, and we know it by heart

We work all along the Mediterranean coast: country estates inland, terraces above the sea, village houses and small palaces. Weddings from under 100 guests up to 300.

Your guests

They are not just attending. They are travelling.

When people cross a border for your wedding, the wedding stops being one afternoon and becomes a long weekend. We plan it that way.

  • Hotel blocks near the venue and transfers from Alicante airport
  • Welcome dinner the night before and a recovery lunch the day after
  • Wine tastings, guided visits and a bit of actual Spain between events
  • Your own traditions kept exactly as they are — we build the Spanish part around them

Questions we get every week

Straight answers

How much does a wedding here cost?

For a wedding of around 100 guests on the Costa Blanca, plan for roughly €130 to €200 per guest for venue and catering, plus photography, music, flowers and our fee. It is generally less than the equivalent wedding in the UK or Ireland, and the weather is part of the deal.

Do we have to come over to choose a venue?

Not necessarily. We visit for you, film the walkthrough and send it with honest notes. Most couples then make one trip to confirm the shortlist and taste the menu.

When should we book?

For May, June, September and October, twelve to eighteen months ahead. Those are the months everyone wants, and the good venues and photographers go first.

What about the language on the day?

We run the day bilingually: signs, timings and announcements in both languages, and someone from the team always available to your guests in English.

Do you work outside Alicante?

Yes, elsewhere in Spain too — just tell us where and we will be honest about whether we are the right team for that area.
